About This Event

The Georgia Mountain Fall Festival is one of the region's most anticipated annual events, held at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in nearby Hiawassee (about 30 minutes from Blue Ridge). This 9-day celebration of Appalachian heritage features daily live music on multiple stages, artisan craft vendors, pioneer skill demonstrations including blacksmithing, candle making, and basket weaving, plus a parade of beautiful fall colors. The festival grounds sit on the shores of Lake Chatuge with stunning mountain views. Contests, children's activities, and an abundance of fair food round out this beloved tradition. It's the perfect way to kick off fall in the North Georgia Mountains.
