About This Event
The Toccoa River below Blue Ridge Dam offers some of the finest trout fishing in the Southeast. The cold, oxygen-rich tailwaters maintain ideal temperatures for rainbow, brown, and brook trout year-round. The river is stocked regularly by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and also supports a healthy wild trout population. Fly fishing is particularly popular, with the Toccoa River providing excellent dry fly and nymph fishing opportunities. Several local guide services offer half-day and full-day trips for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Wade fishing is the primary method, with numerous access points along the river.
